DRY CLEANING PROCEDURES

Dry cleaning is generally performed with a dust mop and floor brush.  Dry cleaning is designed to remove loose debris plus sand and grit which can grind away floor finish.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU DRY CLEAN?

  Equipment needed:   Chemicals needed:

    1.  Dust mop
    2.  Push broom
    3.  Dust pan
    4.  Putty knife or long handled scraper

  Procedures:  

    Dry Cleaning Instructions
  1. Assemble equipment.
  2. Remove furniture, plants and walk-off mats.
  3. Sweep area using broom.
  4. Remove gum and stickers using putty knife.
  5. Dust mop floor.
  6. Pick up debris using dust pan.
  7. Dust mop should be cleaned and combed after use.
  8. Hang dust mop up after use, do not store with head on floor.

Professional Maintenance Tips:
  • It is best to dust mop in one continuous motion without lifting the dust mop from the floor.
  • Overlap the previous pass by 6 inches.
  • Use dust mop treatment sparingly.  Improperly treated dust mops can result in slippery floor conditions.
